MTV is celebrating its 30th birthday. We asked Bruins “What is your favorite MTV show of all time and why?”

Bianca Boccara
First-year, life sciences

“I would say “˜16 and Pregnant’ because I’m around that age, and I’m interested in birth “¦ and how young mothers deal with those kind of things.”

Harper Burge
Alumna

“I like “˜The Buried Life.’ I think it’s neat how they pick things off of their bucket list to do, and they also help people. They’re not just doing it for themselves. … They help other people accomplish things (off their bucket lists).”

Aubrey Love
Second-year, physiological science

“”˜Disaster Date.’ I’ve had many disastrous dates that look just like on MTV. I could relate to those who get annoyed. … Eventually, you can’t take it and you think to yourself that you have to … cut the date short.”

Henry Okoroike
Second-year, neuroscience

“Anything with music videos on it. I don’t really care too much about MTV now because they don’t show very many (of those shows), so I don’t watch it anymore.”

Maribel Guerra
Fourth-year, anthropology

“I really liked “˜Say What? Karaoke.’ It was just karaoke, and it was a lot of fun to watch. You got to watch music videos and sing along to lyrics on the screen.”
