Administrative Vice Chancellor Michael Beck and Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Monroe Gorden Jr. said in an email to the UCLA community that the university is monitoring air quality conditions. They added in the email that UCLA will provide further updates regarding campus operations and potential emergency response plans through BruinAlert.

“Events and community activities on campus may be modified in accordance with air quality and other concerns,“ the email said. “As we know more about how the fires evolve in the days ahead, we will share updates with you and keep you informed about classes and campus operations.”

N95 masks will be available for students at the Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center and at all residence hall front desks, the email also said.
