After the trial restarted for its fourth day, Giovanny testified that the email requesting accommodations came from a template shared in an Asian American History class group chat. He said he did not read the second paragraph of the template before sending the email to Klein but knew it asked for accomodations based on the subject title. Giovanny added that he sent the template to other professors who did provide accommodations.
Correction: The original version of this breaking feed post incorrectly stated that Leslie Giovanny testified that his email requesting accommodations came from a template on the third day of the trial. In fact, Giovanny said this at the beginning of the trial’s fourth day.
