Gallery: Gymnastics advances to regional final with career-high showing from Sumanasekera

Firing on all cylinders.

No. 4 seed UCLA gymnastics took first at the NCAA Corvallis Regional Second Round in front of a crowd of 2,224 attendees at the Gill Coliseum. The Bruins scored 197.450, defeating No. 13 seed Minnesota, Iowa and Washington on Friday night and advancing to the regional final.

Freshman Tiana Sumanasekera spearheaded the Bruins’ victory, scoring a career-high all-around total of 39.625.
