UCPD recorded 554 unique entries in its June 1-30 daily crime log.
University police received 112 crime reports in June that resulted in active police cases. Of the 112 crime reports resulting in cases, 51 were open cases and 61 were closed or inactive as of July 3, according to the UCPD crime and fire log.
Theft and burglary was the most common category, with 43 reports resulting in active police cases, followed by 14 reports of drug and controlled substance, according to the log.
UCPD recorded 442 events that did not result in active cases, with the following statuses as of July 3:

Of the 442 incidents not resulting in cases, nine were categorized as rape or another sex crime. UCPD categorized one event as a rape report, three as sexual battery reports and five as indecent exposure reports.
Data for this story was obtained as a public record under the Jeanne Clery Act, which requires universities to report campus crime data.
