Actors reenact the story of Vincent Chin, a Chinese American who was beaten to death by two white men in Detroit, Mich., in 1982. This Saturday, the Chinese American Culture Night will be titled “Catalyst,” based on Chin’s story. There will be dances, music and other cultural performances.

“Sunset Stories,” co-directed by UCLA alumnus Ernesto Foronda, will be shown at the Los Angeles Asian Pacific Film Festival running through May 20. The film tells the story of a nurse who travels to Los Angeles to retrieve bone marrow for a transplant. It is nominated for a Grand Jury Award | Feature-Length Narrative.



Lebanese Social Club’s culture show to feature traditional dances and food
