Photo: After being discovered by Nick Cannon, third-year theater student Venk Potula went on to perform in Cannon’s music video for “Me Sexy,” as well as land a role in Cannon’s upcoming film “School Dance,” alongside Kevin Hart and Wilmer Valderrama. In the music video, Potula plays the role of Cannon’s personal valet, Guru Venkatesh, a role Potula reprised for Cannon’s live performance of “Me Sexy” on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

Meatless options, including sauteed spinach and mashed potatoes (left) provide a healthy alternative to turkey and stuffing. Vegetarian staples like apple pie (right) can also easily be tweaked to be vegan-friendly by replacing milk with soy or almond substitutes and butter with olive oil or vegan margarine.

One of the two plays being performed is “Party City,” written by graduate playwriting student Brian May, depicts a middle-aged man named David and his struggles in dealing with the various losses in his life.
