Experts assess Gov. Newsom’s recent $920 million allotment to fight homelessness

UC faces over $270M in proposed budget cuts, threatening personnel and programs

Experts said Gov. Gavin Newsom’s proposed budget cuts to the University could harm student enrollment and education quality. Legal experts speak on reproductive rights under Trump at UCLA Law event

A panel of legal experts warned that recent federal executive orders threaten reproductive and gender rights during a UCLA School of Law event March 6. Experts voice concerns about environmental impact of wildfire rebuilding

Urban planners expressed environmental concerns about Gov. Gavin Newsom’s recent rebuilding efforts following January’s Los Angeles County wildfires. Shortly after multiple severe wildfires broke out in the LA area in January, Newsom announced plans to rebuild the affected regions, including signing an executive order to clear debris quickly, waiving California Environmental Quality Act permit requirements to rebuild homes and businesses faster and securing federal funds to repair damaged infrastructure.
