History, African American studies professor appointed as director of Bunche Center

A UCLA history and African American studies professor has been appointed as the new director of the Ralph J. Bunche Center for African American Studies. UCLA organizations host free produce fair to fight food injustice among students

UCLA organizations co-hosted an event Monday to raise awareness about food-related injustices among students. E3: Ecology, Economy, Equity held a free produce fair as part of Earth Month at UCLA, while the CalFresh Initiative enrolled students in CalFresh, a program that provides low-income individuals with need-based money for food, said Kristen Soares, co-chair of the event and second-year environmental science student. Dance Marathon 2019 raises $330,000 for Pediatric AIDS Coalition

The Pediatric AIDS Coalition at UCLA raised $330,037.79 at Dance Marathon, a $12,438.50 increase from last year’s event. PAC hosts Dance Marathon annually as a way to raise money to combat pediatric AIDS and HIV in youth. Read more...

New USAC election chair accused of anti-Semitism, ready for 2019 elections

Student government officials appointed a new election board chair mid-March amid student concerns about comments made by the appointee that some considered to be anti-Semitic.
