UCOP releases report with recommendations for improving UCPD practices

The University of California Office of the President released a universitywide report in November to standardize policing terminology and practices across the UC. The report contained 26 recommendations for police practices across the UC system, many of which focused on the system for processing complaints, introducing new training and updating protocols regarding the use of force. Alumna from 2009 stabbing case will head to trial against UC Regents

Student worker union holds protest over frustration with UCPath system

A student workers union protested payroll issues which have left some without pay since the start of the academic year. Roughly 50 student workers from United Auto Workers Local 2865 gathered Friday to protest to show their frustration with UCPath. Read more...
