Undocumented Student Program provides #UndocuBruins funds to students

The Undocumented Student Program provided $500 in financial aid for each of 19 undocumented students using crowdfunded money collected last quarter. USP is using funds from the #UndocuBruins campaign to provide financial support for undocumented students, helping them renew their Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals status, said Paolo Velasco, director of the Bruin Resource Center. Westwood group sues, files petition against proposed UCLA housing project

A Westwood group is suing the University of California and UCLA over a proposed student-housing project in Westwood Village. The Westwood History and Architecture Association and Steve Sann, chair of the Westwood Community Council, filed a petition Wednesday ordering UCLA to halt a building project at the UCLA Extension site building on Le Conte Avenue. Atmospheric and oceanic sciences department adds climate change major

Students push past human blockade supporting undocumented individuals

Student leaders are calling on administrators to respond to two students who disrupted a protest in support of undocumented students Thursday. Theologian discusses Christian faith, morality and ethics in campus event

A theologian encouraged students to use the Christian faith to develop their moral and ethical beliefs at an open mic discussion Friday evening. Albert Mohler, president of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, came to UCLA to answer students’ questions about Christianity, morality and ethics at an event hosted by Grace on Campus, a Christian fellowship at UCLA.
