UCLA study links early incarceration with mental, physical health issues
Individuals who were incarcerated as children are more likely to be vulnerable to mental and general health complications later in life, UCLA researchers found. In a study published March 29, researchers in the social welfare and pediatrics departments compared health trends such as depressive symptoms, suicidality and functional limitations among individuals who were never incarcerated, those incarcerated before age 14 and those incarcerated after age 14. With multifactor authentication, UCLA trades in convenience for security

UCPD to crack down on electric scooters, issue citations over warnings
University police will more strictly enforce traffic laws regarding electric scooters, bikes and skateboards starting this week. UCPD Lt. Kevin Kilgore said the department will assign officers to different areas on and near campus where many students ride electric vehicles, including the dismount zone along Bruin Walk. Read more...
