MyUCLA scholarship portal to centralize resources for students

Students can now find a list of available scholarships through a new portal on MyUCLA. Undergraduate and graduate students can access the scholarship portal under the Finances tab, which opened Monday. Read more...

EDI office to accept applications for student advisory board

Vice Chancellor Jerry Kang is looking for three to five more students to the advise his office on campus climate issues. Kang announced in an email to students Friday that the Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion will be accepting applications to serve on its student advisory board for the next academic year. Photo: Geffen Hall opens as new center for medical education at UCLA

UCLA officials and David Geffen dedicated Geffen Hall on Thursday afternoon at an event attended by 200 medical students, faculty and guests. Geffen, an entertainment executive and philanthropist, donated $200 million to the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and created a $100 million scholarship fund for incoming medical students. Afrikan Student Union releases list of demands for UCLA administration

The Afrikan Student Union called on UCLA to create a Black Resource Center and a $40 million endowment to address African-American underrepresentation on campus in a list of demands it released Thursday. Read more...

UC Regents to consider housing options for increased enrollment

The governing board of the University of California will vote to add more housing options at UCLA at its meeting next week. The UC Board of Regents heard proposals from UCLA officials at its March meeting to add about 6,900 beds by 2021. Read more...
