Sbarro leaves Ackerman Union following final contract extension

Geffen Hall construction projected to finish in early October

The David Geffen School of Medicine will complete construction of a new building that will house classrooms and office space in early October. Geffen Hall will open at the corner of Le Conte Avenue and Tiverton Drive in January, said Clarence Braddock, vice dean for education at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Read more...

De Neve Grab ‘N Go wraps up old menu to offer custom sandwiches

A new sandwich bar that allows students to custom-order sandwiches opened last Thursday in the De Neve Grab ‘N Go location. Similar to a Subway station, students visiting the sandwich bar tell the worker behind the counter what they would like on their sandwich, and generally leave the Grab ‘N Go location with their sandwich within two and a half minutes, said Alex Macias, an assistant director for UCLA Dining Services. New online course to help student cyclists steer clear of citations

Cyclists who receive a citation will be able to complete an online course to have their citation dismissed. On Oct. 10, UCLA Transportation and UCPD will launch BikeSafe, an online program that will give bicycle safety lessons to educate riders and help them avoid citations, according to the UCLA Transportation website.
