Man arrested for attempted assault with chair in Ackerman Union

University police arrested a man Saturday who allegedly tried to assault someone Thursday with a metal chair in Ackerman Union. The man, 45, was arrested in Ackerman Union Saturday on one charge of assault with a deadly weapon, one charge of threatening with intent to terrorize and one charge of violating civil rights by causing violent injury, according to police logs. UCOP revisits measures regarding sexual assault by faculty
