USAC launches website for donations to UCLA endowment fund
The undergraduate student government recently launched a website where anyone can donate money to its 2-year-old endowment fund. The endowment, which is currently about $120,000, is a reserve fund the Undergraduate Students Association Council can use to finance programs if it does not want to tap into other council money or if USAC is struggling financially. Community holds vigil to honor life of UCLA student Brenda Coronel
Fresh flowers, candles, hand-drawn portraits and Greek letters decorated an altar for UCLA student Brenda Coronel at a vigil Monday. Coronel, who was from Salinas and studied political science, was killed in a car accident on April 26 on the 605 Freeway in Los Alamitos. Read more...
