The professors and administrators who petitioned for another vote on a diversity course requirement proposal withdrew their petition Thursday to make wording changes. The wording changes, which come from the Academic Senate Committee on Rules and Jurisdiction, are meant to clarify that the requirement would only apply to students in the UCLA College of Letters and Science and not to those in other schools. Winter SOOF applicants to receive about $200 in USAC funding

Anderson student creates ‘glitter bomb’ website startup
Ben Follansbee spent the last three weeks stuffing glitter into envelopes and sending them to hundreds of people across the country. Follansbee, a master’s of business administration student at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, is the founder of SparkleSlap.com, a startup website that supplies customers with glitter bombs that are sent to unsuspecting recipients.
