New BruinCard readers allow residents to tap instead of swipe cards

UCLA ranks sixth in nation for international student enrollment

UCLA has the sixth largest population of international students enrolled at its campus, according to a report published Monday by an independent nonprofit organization. The Open Doors Report showed that UCLA has admitted about 9,580 international students for the 2013-2014 academic year, an increase of 13.7 percent from last year. Read more...

UCLA Housing to centralize laundry rooms amid safety concerns

UCLA’s residence halls will soon have one centralized laundry room in each building rather than smaller laundry rooms on each floor. UCLA Housing and Hospitality Services and Residential Life decided to change the current laundry room set up after UCLA experienced problems with the ventilation system causing false fire alarms, said Barbara Wilson, associate director of room operations for UCLA Housing and Hospitality Services. UCLA student group helps nonprofit pack over 4,000 meals for homeless

Former Internal Vice President Avinoam Baral assumes USAC presidency

Avinoam Baral became the new undergraduate student government president Friday night, after Devin Murphy resigned from office. Murphy said in a statement Friday morning he resigned from the Undergraduate Students Association Council presidency because of the high level of stress and the toll campus climate has taken on his mental, emotional and physical health.
