University of California Board of Regents member Richard Blum died Sunday evening at the age of 86 after a long medical history with cancer. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, Blum’s wife, released a statement Monday morning announcing his death. “My heart is broken today,” Feinstein said in the statement. Read more...

Unions across the University of California met Tuesday to discuss their goals and how they can incorporate climate change and greener initiatives in their union. Representatives from the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 3299, the California Nurses Association, United Auto Workers Local 5810, Student Researchers United – UAW, University Council – American Federation of Teachers, University Professional and Technical Employees, and UC Green New Deal Coalition held a virtual cross-union panel to discuss their respective goals as unions, what they are currently doing and what they hope to achieve in the future.
