Evacuation warnings for the Palisades fire moved closer to Westwood on Friday evening. New evacuation warnings have been issued in parts of Los Angeles to the northeast and east of the Palisades fire, according to Cal Fire. In a Friday afternoon BruinPost to members of the UCLA community, Chancellor Julio Frenk announced that the UCLA campus will continue to curtail its operations for at least three more days, adding that the UCLA Academic Senate has allowed remote classes to go ahead Monday.
