One person arrested for weapons possession near Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center

The UCLA Police Department arrested one person for the possession of weapons near the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center following a domestic violence incident Wednesday. The suspect possessed a gun and multiple illegal knives that UCPD recovered upon apprehending the suspect, according to a UCPD Instagram post. Read more...

UCLA DataX panel experts review technological influence on human rights, democracy

Students and faculty discussed how technological developments impact human rights and democracy at the DataX Impact Forum in May. The event – titled “Beyond Broligarchy: The Fight for a Better Future” – featured an hour-long conversation between Cory Doctorow, a journalist and science fiction author, and Ramesh Srinivasan, a professor at the UCLA School of Education and Information Studies.
