USAC looks to expand off-campus housing resources for students

Bruin Consent Coalition offers support for sexual assault survivors

Students wrote supportive notes for sexual assault survivors, including “You are not your trauma” and “I believe you” on a blackboard Monday. Bruin Consent Coalition, a committee in the undergraduate student government Student Wellness Commission, held an event called “Scribble Your Support” on Kerckhoff Patio to support survivors, amid election season, said Chloe Pan, co-director of the coalition and a third-year international development studies and Asian American studies student. Campus groups work to prepare student voters for election day

UCLA campus organizations and departments are working to inform voters about the different candidates and ballot measures for Tuesday’s election. Student groups within BruinsVote!, a coalition that aims to increase student participation in elections, have compiled information about candidates, ballot measures and polling places to help students cast their votes. UCLA announces new location for graduate student fitness center

This post was updated Nov. 1 at 7:15 p.m. UCLA officials announced a new location for the Kinross Recreation Center on Tuesday. UCLA will build the new fitness center in the northwest end of Parking Lot 36, by Veteran Avenue and Kinross Avenue, said Michael Deluca, assistant vice chancellor of campus life, and Wendy Windsor, director of UCLA Recreation, in an email to graduate students. Active Minds seeks to provide support in the midst of deaths on campus

About 15 students gathered around glowing candles in Royce Quad on Friday night to express their feelings about the recent deaths on campus. The undergraduate student government committee Active Minds held an event called Community Healing Space in response to the death of a 63-year-old man who fell from the Biomedical Library.
