UCLA settled a lawsuit Thursday that was filed by two graduate students who claimed they were sexually harassed by professor Gabriel Piterberg. According to a UCLA statement, the UC Board of Regents agreed to pay one student $350,000 and the other student $110,000. Read more...

Postdoctoral researchers and supporters marched to Murphy Hall Friday to demand the University address contract negotiations more quickly. UCLA clerical employees protested outside the UCLA Wilshire Center on Wednesday against what they called a low proposed wage increase. About 200 members of Teamsters Local 2010, a union that represents around 14,000 University of California clerical, administrative and support staff, called the 1.5 percent increase unacceptable.
