Attorneys representing UC claim DACA rescission did not follow protocol

Other unions representing UC workers plan to join AFSCME in solidarity strike

Unions representing medical employees in the University of California plan to hold a strike in solidarity with the UC’s largest union this week. The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees Local 3299, which represents service workers such as custodians and food service workers, is holding a strike from Monday to Wednesday because the union was unable to reach a contract agreement with the UC. UCLA staff members struck by vehicle during AFSCME strike protest

Three UCLA staff members protesting on campus Monday were struck by a vehicle, university police said. A male driver struck the protesters at the intersection of Westwood Plaza and Le Conte Avenue at about 9:45 a.m., according to a UCPD statement. Read more...

State auditor finds UC failed to complete 2017 budget audit recommendations
