Westwood unveils pedestrian hub Broxton Plaza in hopes of revitalizing community

The Los Angeles community celebrated the opening of the city’s largest pedestrian plaza Feb. 22. Beneath a towering blue-and-gold balloon arch, UCLA Chancellor Julio Frenk led a ribbon cutting ceremony, while community leaders took turns addressing the lively crowd of local families, UCLA students and local business owners in Westwood Village. Community to vote in North Westwood Neighborhood Council election March 18

Fire on Roebling Avenue extinguished following UCLA men’s basketball win

A fire started on Roebling Avenue around 8:45 p.m. Saturday. The fire, which the Los Angeles Fire Department extinguished at 9:22 p.m., came hours after UCLA men’s basketball’s 27-point victory over the University of Southern California. Read more...

Over 1,000 people protest executive orders at Stand Up For Science rally Friday
