Students report concerns with Bird scooters following app update

Students expressed concerns with Bird electric scooters and the difficulties parking them. The implementation of new parking zones in September by Bird has led to some challenges: While these zones aim to organize scooter parking, users are experiencing glitches with the app – particularly when trying to photograph and confirm their parking location. Volunteers to participate in upcoming Westwood Homeless Count 2024

The Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority will lead volunteers through Westwood to conduct the annual Greater LA Homeless Count on Jan. 24. The December edition of First Thursdays brings light to student’s artistic talent

The December edition of First Thursdays took over Broxton Avenue on Thursday night, featuring a “Let There Be Light” theme. The monthly First Thursdays event series began in March 2022 and has welcomed over 55,000 guests since then, said Eddie North-Hager, a UCLA spokesperson, adding that this month’s event aimed to highlight Bruins and their creativity – from a cappella performances to poets composing live pieces on type-writers.
