UCLA to operate remotely for initial weeks amid rising COVID-19 cases due to omicron variant
UCLA will return to remote instruction for the first two weeks of winter quarter amid a rise in COVID-19 cases due to the omicron variant in Los Angeles County, according to a campuswide announcement from UCLA administrators Tuesday. UCLA is the sixth University of California campus to announce that they will return to remote instruction for the first two weeks of winter quarter as of Tuesday. Power, internet service outages affect Westwood apartments

LA Metro expands rideshare service Metro Micro, adds Westwood zone
The Los Angeles Metro launched Metro Micro, a zoned ride-hailing service for short trips, in the Westwood area Sunday.
