Photo: The quarter system is a mainstay of student culture at UCLA. Students and faculty lament the fast pace of the 10-week structure – and rightfully so. Universities such as UC Berkeley employ the semester system and give more time for students to explore the depth of the subject matter – something sorely lacking at UCLA.
