Letter to the editor: Students have the duty to pay attention to politics
Salim Zymet's article "Americans don't have time for long speeches" (Jan. 27) on the recent hourlong State of the Union was unsettling. Zymet was right in saying that a short attention to politics is an unfortunate problem among students, but I disagree with his suggestion that this problem is something students cannot help.
