Eric Filia, baseball UCLA baseball will host its alumni game this weekend, but one of its alumni is struggling to stay out of trouble. Former Bruin outfielder Eric Filia will serve a 50-game suspension to start the 2018 season due to a second positive test for a drug of abuse, which Major League Baseball classifies as a recreational drug such as marijuana, cocaine or a stimulant such as amphetamines. Bruin gymnasts added a new element to their normal uniforms Saturday: a teal ribbon. Members of the UCLA gymnastics team wore the ribbons in their hair during their meet against Arizona to show support for the women who testified against former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar, who was convicted on multiple counts of criminal sexual conduct in November, at his sentencing hearing during the past week.
