UCLA men’s basketball will rely on top players to challenge Utah

Entering the season, UCLA men’s basketball only had two known quantities in junior guard Aaron Holiday and senior center Thomas Welsh. The Bruins’ frontcourt depth took another hit after freshmen forwards Jalen Hill and Cody Riley were suspended for shoplifting in China, forcing redshirt sophomore Alex Olesinski into the rotation as the first frontcourt player off the bench. UCLA beach volleyball appoints Jeff Alzina as volunteer assistant coach

UCLA beach volleyball has hired Jeff Alzina as its new volunteer assistant coach. “I hope that I can be an extra set of eyes with a little bit of extra experience and maybe a different perspective that will be their push to compete for a national championship and not just be a top-five-type team but actually really attempt to win this year,” Alzina said. Wang’s Word: Unfounded rumors that teammates dislike Josh Rosen should not affect draft

Josh Rosen is finally gone. The nation’s top-ranked pro-style high school quarterback in 2015 via 247Sports endured a tumultuous three-year tenure as a Bruin. But despite playing under a different offensive coordinator each season and learning a new playbook every offseason, Rosen cemented his place in the top-three of nearly every UCLA passing record in only 30 games. Multiple UCLA football players to show strong presence in NFL draft

Barring unforeseen circumstances, Josh Rosen should be the first Bruin drafted in this year’s NFL draft. But he won’t be the only one. The former junior quarterback will be joined by offensive lineman Kolton Miller and wide receiver Jordan Lasley, who also chose to forgo their final years of NCAA eligibility to go pro. Read more...
