Former UCLA basketball and volleyball standout Natalie Williams was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Saturday. The 6-foot-2 dual-sport athlete initially earned a scholarship to play basketball for the Bruins but decided to walk on to the women’s volleyball team as a freshman where she finished her career as a four-time All-American. Five months of intensive running, jumping and throwing will culminate in one weekend for UCLA’s best track and field athletes. The Bruins have made their way to Eugene, Oregon, to compete in the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, and for four of them, it will be their last meet ever wearing the UCLA jersey. Texas center Jake Raulerson will not be transferring to UCLA next season, according to Scout. The former four-star recruit, listed at 6 feet 4 inches and 295 pounds, verbally committed to the Bruins in the winter over Stanford, Michigan and Oregon, citing the trust he had in coaching staff and offensive line coach Adrian Klemm. UCLA football coach Jim Mora has signed a two-year contract extension through 2021, UCLA Athletics announced Tuesday morning. Under his current contract, Mora was slated to make $21 million through 2019 and up to $930,000 in performance bonuses. Read more...
