Men’s basketball slowed by big-big front court in Washington loss

After UCLA’s 86-84 loss to Washington Thursday, coach Steve Alford said something that he refrained from saying before the season started. The UCLA coach called his starting lineup “slow.” Alford was specifically referring to the “big-big” starting lineup that the Bruins have featured all year – the one that features a 7-foot, 245-pound center and a 6-foot-9, 260-pound power forward. Track and field crosses country to face off against top athletes

The UCLA track and field team will be put on the big stage this weekend. The men and women, ranked 42nd and 65th in the nation, respectively, will travel across the country to the Razorback Invitational in Arkansas this weekend. Read more...

Women’s tennis to take on Saint Mary’s in first away game

The women’s tennis team will encounter its first test away from home this season when it takes on Saint Mary’s Friday, but at least the Bruins won’t have to trek all the way to Northern California to face the Gaels. Read more...

Men’s tennis prepares to face Georgia, Florida with lineup undecided

The UCLA men’s tennis co-captain, junior Mackie McDonald, flexed his wrist and demonstrated his newfound mobility Wednesday morning after team conditioning. He suffered a wrist fracture back in mid-December and now enough time has passed that he might be eligible to play in his first dual match of the season with the Bruins this weekend: the third annual Southeastern Conference/Pac-12 Challenge.
