Claire-ification: NCAA needs to value student-athletes’ work, not just their worth

College athletes have long been considered amateurs due to the lack of pay provided for their work. Since January, this standing has been cast into doubt as an antitrust lawsuit against the NCAA made major developments in the lives of student athletes, allowing them to receive larger stipends toward living costs. Women’s soccer drops first Pac-12 match since 2012

It’s been almost three years since the UCLA women’s soccer team was defeated by a Pac-12 team. The last six minutes of Thursday’s match also marked the first conference loss of coach Amanda Cromwell’s UCLA career, as the unranked Bruins fell to the Washington Huskies 2-1, once again failing to win three consecutive games this season. Men’s soccer to test winning inertia in first Pac-12 matchups

UCLA men’s soccer enters Pac-12 play this weekend trending in the opposite direction of its first conference opponents.
