Pac-10 formally becomes the Pac-12 with July 1 addition of Utah Utes, Colorado Buffaloes to the new conference's southern football division
The Pac-10 officially welcomed Utah and Colorado this week to become the Pac-12 in the first shakeup for the conference since 1978. Rising senior Brianna Do won the U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship this past weekend at the Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Oregon. Though Do was not a starter for the Bruins in their 2011 NCAA Championship victory, she was the only UCLA golfer to make it to the final, where she defeated Wake Forest freshman Marissa Dodd in a close contest.

UCLA track and field makes an impact at the USA Track and Field Junior/Senior National Championships as throwers Derek Eager and Alec Faldermeyer take first in their events, qualify for Pan American Championships
