Coach retires but never truly leaves UCLA

It wasn't your typical NCAA tournament. For one, the 1975 field included 32 teams for the first time, up from 25 in the previous year. Conferences were now allowed to send more than one team to the dance. The Final Four took place in San Diego, the last time it would be held in California. 8-clap honors Wooden on June 4, 2010

June 5, 2010 – Students organized an 8-clap at UCLA's Ackerman Plaza at noon Friday. About 200 students attended, and then about three times as many Bruins gathered at night outside the UCLA Ronald Reagan Medical Center for a Nation-Wide 8-clap and candle-light vigil to show their support for former UCLA Men's Basketball Coach John Wooden and his family.
