Two men’s tennis players upset a top-ranked foe
The UCLA men’s tennis team also had two tournaments of their own, which both ended with similar results: upsets of top-ranked players. In Indian Wells, junior Benjamin Kohlloeffel recorded a 6-3, 7-6(5) victory over Pepperdine’s Scott Doerner, who is ranked third in the nation, and was given the tournament’s top seed. Read more...

Swimmers fly by Pacific, show depth with many standout times
The first name that is usually associated with UCLA swimming is All-American senior Kim Vandenberg. At Saturday’s meet against the Pacific Tigers, where the No. 7 Bruins won 147-109, the result was no different as Vandenberg led the Bruins with three victories in the 200-meter butterfly, 100-meter freestyle and 100-meter butterfly.
