For the rest of us – recreation: Construction finally pays off
This fall’s official opening of the Intramural Field and Student Activities Complex will put an end to some gripes of UCLA as being “under construction like always.” What was the large expanse of dirt between the Wooden Recreation Center and Drake Stadium for the past two years will officially re-open as the IM Field early fall quarter, according to Mick Deluca, director of UCLA Cultural and Recreational Affairs. With 1,500 parking spaces in the lot below the field, the space now serves a double purpose as both a venue for student recreation and a subterranean parking area.
