Photo: Sophomore foward Jasmine Dixon received first-team All-Pac-10 honors Wednesday. Dixon leads UCLA in scoring, with 15.4 points per game, and rebounding, 7.9 per game, and is second in steals with 51. After their best regular season since 1998-1999, the Bruins will begin play in the Pac-10 Tournament Friday at the Galen Center. Under the guidance of second-year coach Nikki Caldwell, who won Pac-10 Coach of the Year honors, the Bruins (22-7, 15-3) will enter the Pac-10 Tournament as the No. 2 seed, the best ever for UCLA in the history of the tournament. The No. 23 Bruins are a relative shoo-in for the NCAA Tournament having won eight straight games and 12 of their last 13. The honors don’t end there; freshman forward Markel Walker, second on the Bruins in points, with 10.8 per game, and rebounds, 7.6 per game, was voted to the Pac-10 All-Freshman team. UCLA will face the winner of tonight’s Washington-Oregon State game Friday at 7:15 p.m.
