After prematurely ending practice a week before because of what she called an unsatisfactory effort from her team, UCLA women’s basketball coach Cori Close expressed a similar sentiment Friday, telling the Bruins during drills that she won’t coach players who don’t show up to practice and deliver. The injury bug has once again hit the Bruins. UCLA women’s basketball forward Emily Bessoir sustained a noncontact ACL tear in her left knee during practice earlier this week and will be out for nine months, the sophomore announced Friday in an Instagram post after the team’s morning practice.
