Make that eight straight doubles points for UCLA women’s tennis. The No. 20 Bruins (12-5, 6-1 Pac-12) haven’t dropped a doubles set – let alone lose the point – in over a month, and that trend continued Friday and Saturday when they swept both the Colorado Buffaloes (9-10, 1-7) and Utah Utes (7-8, 2-6) 4-0. Two conference matches, two more wins for No. 20 UCLA women’s tennis (10-5, 4-1 Pac-12). The Bruins nearly swept both the Washington Huskies (14-5, 3-2) and the Washington State Cougars (9-10, 0-5) – 4-1 and 6-1 respectively – to clinch their third and fourth straight victories of the season, dropping just two points in two games. UCLA women’s tennis is on a doubles roll. The No. 20 Bruins (8-5, 2-1 Pac-12) won the opening point for the fourth dual match in a row, all without dropping a set, and then pulled away from the host Oregon Ducks (8-6, 2-1) for a 4-1 victory Friday. Read more...
