UCPD investigating alleged drug-facilitated aggravated assault on Gayley

UCPD is investigating an alleged drug-facilitated aggravated assault that occurred on Gayley Avenue on Wednesday.  A UCLA student attended a party on the 600 block of Gayley Avenue – where UCLA’s fraternities are located – and saw someone add an unidentified powder to his drink before he was pressured to drink it, according to a Thursday UCPD Clery Timely Warning alert.  UCPD does not know the identity of the perpetrator and if they are affiliated with UCLA, said Richard Mejia, the director of emergency communications and information, in an email statement.  People with information related to the incident should contact UCPD, the alert stated. UCPD arrests man for indecent exposure outside Public Affairs building

UCPD arrested a man for indecent exposure near the Luskin School of Public Affairs building Wednesday. The man was non-compliant with sex offender registration requirements, said Jeffrey Chobanian, the captain of UCPD’s operations bureau, in an emailed statement.  He added in the statement that the man had a felony arrest warrant with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation for a weapons violation.
