The Growth of UCLA Triathlon

Bruins utilize top-notch technology in triathlon training

March 3, 2010 – Triathlon training not only involves hours of practice, it requires tools and training in endurance. Additional equipment such as altitude simulators are used to fine-tune race performance and improve endurance. Earlier this quarter, a few of UCLA's Elite Tier triathletes began testing the AltoLab altitude simulator during their training. Although a large part of training involves hours spent running, biking, and swimming, AltoLab features some of the finer scientific details of training in the sport. [4:45]
