Students, faculty work on sustainability report card for LA County

UCLA faculty and students will update the County of Los Angeles’ sustainability grade based on its air quality and use of sustainable energy. The report card is a project led by the Sustainable LA Grand Challenge, a research initiative out of the UCLA Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, which aims to make Los Angeles County environmentally sustainable by 2050. UCLA faculty apprehensive about proposed changes to conduct policy

Some UCLA faculty said they were concerned about potential changes to faculty conduct and sexual assault policy. The University of California Academic Senate proposed a revision to the Academic Personnel Manual and its bylaws to specify that sexual violence and harassment violate the faculty code of conduct. UCLA groups host immigration law panel for undocumented students

Immigration attorneys and legal experts advised undocumented students about permanent residency options and how to interact with immigration officials Monday night.
