Westwood unveils pedestrian hub Broxton Plaza in hopes of revitalizing community

The Los Angeles community celebrated the opening of the city’s largest pedestrian plaza Feb. 22. Beneath a towering blue-and-gold balloon arch, UCLA Chancellor Julio Frenk led a ribbon cutting ceremony, while community leaders took turns addressing the lively crowd of local families, UCLA students and local business owners in Westwood Village. Students, ASUCLA offer input on online textbook service Bruin One Access

Students have been able to receive their textbooks on a subscription basis since fall 2024. The Bruin One Access program, administered by ASUCLA, allows students to access their required course materials for $129 per quarter. Read more...

Legal experts speak on reproductive rights under Trump at UCLA Law event

A panel of legal experts warned that recent federal executive orders threaten reproductive and gender rights during a UCLA School of Law event March 6. The panel – hosted by the UCLA Law Center on Reproductive Health, Law, and Policy, in partnership with Yale Law School’s Program for the Study of Reproductive Justice and Temple University Beasley School of Law – discussed issues in the growing fight for gender and reproductive justice under the new Trump administration.
