UCLA medical centers prepare for End of Life Option Act
UCLA medical centers are training physicians and developing patient advocacy groups to prepare for an aid-in-dying law, which will go into effect June 9. The End of Life Option Act will permit doctors in California to prescribe self-administered, life-ending medication to patients who are terminally diagnosed to live for six months or fewer. Center for Latino Arts preserves cultural heritage at UCLA
The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music held an inauguration ceremony for the UCLA Center for Latino Arts on Sunday. The UCLA Center for Latino Arts will expose the UCLA community to Latino art, said professor Steven Loza, director of the UCLA Center for Latino Arts and chair of the department of ethnomusicology. USAC continues search for tenured faculty adviser
The undergraduate student government is looking to hire a faculty adviser to assist the council. The USAC constitution allows the council to have a faculty representative, but USAC has not had one in more than 10 years, said Roy Champawat, director of the Associated Students UCLA Student Union. Professor involved in Title IX lawsuit resigns from fellowship position
UCLA history professor Gabriel Piterberg, who has been accused of sexual harassment by several graduate students, resigned Sunday from a visiting scholar appointment in Florence, Italy, according to an email from the European University Institute. Read more...
