Students celebrate culture with colors at Holi
Nearly 600 pounds of colored powder sat neatly arranged in Ziploc bags Thursday afternoon at Sunset Canyon Recreation Center. Thirty minutes later, as the powder settled, the grass was no longer just green, and students left with multicolored clothing and a better understanding of a long-celebrated part of Indian culture. Powell celebrates opening of sustainability book collection
A new student-initiated book collection on the topic of sustainability opened this week in Powell Library. The collection is part of the Community Collections in Powell, a group of collections jointly built between students and faculty that aim to reflect topics students are interested in, said Sharon Farb, associate university librarian for collection management and scholarly communication.
