UC sustainability committee aims to promote inclusivity with climate response plan

The University of California sustainability committee released a new landscape plan in September to promote sustainability, inclusivity and climate resilience. UCLA holds cross-campus Hispanic serving institution forum

Researchers find schools underserve students experiencing homelessness

An August report co-authored by a UCLA professor found that students experiencing homelessness are undercounted and underserved by their schools. The study, conducted by Hadass Moore, a lecturer at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and professor of social welfare Ron Avi Astor, focused on students experiencing homelessness in school districts that have low or high socioeconomic statuses, Astor said. University of California confirms 4-year contract with Teamsters Local 2010

UCLA activists work to expand access to rape test kit services

UCLA student activists and leaders are working to improve care for survivors of sexual violence by improving access to rape test kits. This fall, IGNITE at UCLA, a student organization dedicated to reproductive justice advocacy, started a petition calling on UCLA to offer free rape test kit services at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
