Former sports bar Sepi’s is demolished, to be replaced with medical offices

Privacy and data protection board disbands, prompting concerns on policy revisions

A UCLA board dedicated to privacy and data protection has silently disbanded, leaving students with fewer outlets to provide direct input to policy changes. The UCLA Board on Privacy and Data Protection, composed of students, faculty and administrators, reviewed policies, established standards and resolved conflicts concerning privacy and technology. Tech Gala gives students opportunity to present technological projects

Students showcased their technological projects, ranging from story-building games to user-interface tools, at a UCLA technology gala Monday evening. The Association of Computing Machinery hosted its annual Tech Gala in the Covel Commons, Grand Horizon Room this year, where students can present technological projects they have been working on.
