Academic Senate undergraduate representatives to receive stipends for their work

Undergraduate students on the UCLA Academic Senate will now receive stipends for their work. Following a year of meager appointments, the Undergraduate Students Association Council Academic Affairs commissioner decided to fund stipends for appointed undergraduate student representatives on the Academic Senate. Shooting outside Rose Bowl following UCLA football game leaves one dead

An 18-year-old man died in a shooting outside the Rose Bowl in Pasadena Saturday night, hours after the UCLA vs. Oklahoma football game. Kamryn Stone, a Los Angeles resident, was involved in an altercation that escalated into a shooting in the area of Arroyo Boulevard and Seco Street, according to a press release supplied by Pasadena Police Lieutenant Marcia Taglioretti. UCLA names alumna first vice chancellor of strategic communication

UCLA appointed its first vice chancellor of strategic communication, the university announced Tuesday. Mary Osako, a UCLA alumna, will oversee UCLA’s strategic communication division which includes UCLA’s marketing, media relations, executive communication, public outreach and special events and protocol units, according to a UCLA press release.
